The Palm Cove Tavern


Just one block back from the esplanade is the Palm Cove Tavern. The manager Peta and her staff are friendly and courteous. The Taverns new chef Jen has got all the locals and travellers talking about her great tasting meals. They are churning out fabulous meals at good prices with daily specials.

  • Mondays start with a 2 for 1 deal which is great value (tip get in before 7 as waiting times can be a while if you are later but still worth the wait)
  • Tuesdays you can grab a Rump cooked to your preference for only $15.00,
  • Wednesday is Palmy night $15.00
  • Thursday you can bite into a $10.00 fish and chips, $10.00 fish and chips Friday kids eat free,
  • Saturday is surf & turf (our owners favourite)
  • Sunday is Pig on the Spit $15.00.

Chill Cafe


Chill Café is on the corner of Veivers road and the Esplanade, it is a favourite with locals & travellers, offers the most amazing breakfast, great coffee and to die for deserts. They also offer lunch and Dinner. Tony’s staff here are second to none, so warm, bubbly and friendly.

Jack & Shannon’s


Jack and Shannon’s is our newest restaurant, owned by Paul and Nicole who are friendly and eager to please. A great place to grab a café style breakfast or a hearty lunch & dinner. They also own scoops ice cream. Scoops use quality fresh ingredients which is a favourite for visitors. For salsa lovers they do amazing nachos and Mexican fiesta, also crepes, hamburgers, salads and more. They also have organic coffee and teas for those who like it.

Next to Chill Café is Portobello Italian restaurant also owned by Tony, offering authentic Italian cuisine which is always busy. All pasta is freshly made with yummy tradition sauces, pasta and gnocchi is especially good. Plus yummy takeaway pizzas!

On the corner across for Chill is Nunu an award winning restaurant. NuNu is right on the beach, providing a great atmosphere.  These guys know how to cook pork and their seafood is delicious. Nick Holloway chef-owner has a talent like no other, his mixing of ingredients are out of this world somewhere between Mediterranean and Asian, he is also a reality chef on MasterChef.

If curry is your fancy we have Maharajas authentic Indian restaurant, Dinkrit the owner has been there over 10 years.  These guys serve up tasty curries, breads and do a very good Tandoori chicken.

Rusty & Janet of Seafarers offer diners an amazing seafood experience, with the freshest seafood including: Oysters, Prawns, Lobster, shell fish and much more. Their Seafood Gumbo is a favourite amongst locals and a popular choice by travellers. Rusty is a retired fisherman, he knows where to get the freshest produce.

El Greko

How about Greek? El Greko is one of the local’s favourites, even the Greeks who come here love this place. Jimmy & Nat both have Greek backgrounds and really nail it. Nobody can cook lamb like the Greeks and these guys could compete with the best. They have all the Greek favourites; Moussaka, Lamb, Souvlaki, Calamari, Amazing steak, yummy Greek salad and dips to dunk your bread into, the dolomites are made fresh and are to die for.  They also do a set menu/banquet that you share with your family and friends like they do back home in Greece which is an amazing experience and great fun.

The Palm Cove surf club offers great bistro type food. Lawerence the manager and his team will make you are well catered for. They have a daily special of $15.00 each night. Wednesday is the steak night, Sunday is Roast night, Saturday fish & chips, other night specials you can check out as you are passing by. They also have all the other things like seafood, steak, pizzas etc. They also have poker machines.

Apres Beach Bar & Grill


Everyone who comes to Palm Cove has to have a drink at Apres. Apres host/manager Jen is out of this world and will go to any length to keep diners happy. It’s a local hangout, they offer an a-la-carte menu anything from crocodile/kangaroo to Steak/ seafood. They also have a really amazing pizza chef who does really yummy pizzas, you can also dine in or take away. There is also live music and they don’t close till midnight if you want to.

Pete’s Place is on the corner of Harper Street and the Esplanade offer good old Fish and chips, Hamburgers and general fast food take away, you can dine in or take away with many travellers walking over to the beach to enjoy their meals, they even have a small convenience store for all your little bits and pieces.
